If you are new to Helice shooting, please stop by our ring and get acquainted with us. We are located between stations 2 and 3 on the Pheasant Ridge Sporting Clays Course at Game Unlimited. Look for our sail flag. Practice targets are available. Give it a try?
Despite a late-winter snowstorm that dropped a foot of snow on western Wisconsin, spring is on the way. That means the opening for St Croix Helice for another fantastic shooting season.
After a weekend of warmer temperatures, last week’s snow is expected to melt. The warmer temperatures and runoff from the melting snow are creating temporary muddy conditions at the ring. Despite Mother Nature’s setback, we hope the dried-out ring will be open for shooters on Saturday, March 28 and Sunday, March 29. Open shooting and impromptu 30-bird races may be available … weather permitting.
The regular summer league and open shooting schedule will be on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, and weekends.
The first 30-bird race is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, and Sunday, April 12.

The second annual WI State Helice Championship is scheduled for Aug 11 – 16.

St Croix Helice Announces 2026 Summer League Shooting To Open In April.
Saturday, November 1 was the final 30-Bird Race of the 2025 shooting season. A big thank you to the shooters that participated, on a cloudy, chilly day at the Ring. Despite the cold, everyone enjoyed the final event of the season. A local Willow River restaurant provided a delicious burger lunch. Watch this space for details and schedules for the 2026 30-bird races and other big shooting events at Game Unlimited.

St Croix Helice Announces Final 30-Bird Race of the 2025 Season, on Saturday November 1. See details below. As always, many fun side games to play.
Details and registration for the Saturday, November 1st 30-Bird Race will be available at the Ring. Along with the Daily Main Event, side games include: 10-bird sub totals, 15-bird consecutive runs, a Champions Purse, and Dirty Bird options. Practice targets are available at 10:00 AM. Lunch and beverages included in the Daily Main Event fee.

Thanks to all volunteers and contestants that made the first annual Wisconsin State Helice Championship a success.
St Croix Helice will be open Wednesdays and Thursdays in June, July, and August, to accommodate shooters interested in Helice targets and competitions. On the weekends, the Ring will be open only for scheduled Races.

St Croix Helice Announces 2025 Summer Helice League
The Helice ring is open Wednesday and Thursday evenings during the GU summer sporting clays league. Find us along the road to Pheasant Ridge. Watch for the red Sail Flag, Hours 5 PM to dusk.
The Ring will also be open weekends for recreational shooting and impromptu 10-bird races. Recreational shooting cost is $3 per bird. For multiple targets, $15 for 5 birds and $30 for 10 birds.
